BSNL New Broadband Plan : Rs1 per One GB. War between BSNL and Jio.

BSNL,The state-owned Telecom operator roped in a new plan to rival Reliance Jio’s 4G which is offering Rs 50 per GB. Now, BSNL is bringing a new broadband plan which effectively translates into less than Re 1 per GB download cost for the subscribers if they use up to 300GB data in a month.

They have announced this cost-effective and affordable promotional unlimited Broadband plan ‘Experience Unlimited BB 249 which will be available from September 9, 2016.

BSNL has triggered this data war between them and Reliance Jio. So, Under this plan customers can download unlimited Broadband data without any limit with a speed of 2 Mbps.In this monthly plan, they can download up to 300 GB data by paying Rs 249. Hence the data may cost around less than a Rupee. After, six months the customer may have to switch to regular broadband plan as per their choice.

BSNL(Bharat Sachar Nigam Limited) M.D and Chairman Anupam Shri Vastavsaid in the press meet “The plan will enhance the customer experience towards wireline broadband services and attract new users to experience BSNL broadband services”. and added that it is the only broadband operator offering lowest per GB data download.

Recently, Reliance Jio Chairman Mukesh Ambani said that Data must be affordable and announced Rs 25-50 per GB depending on their data usage, While the market is presently offering Rs 250 per GB.
