In 2010, Reliance Industries acquired Infotel Broadband Services Limited (IBSL) by purchasing a 96% stake during the 4G auction. It was the only company to own broadband spectrum in all 22 zones of India and was later renamed Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited in 2013.
