Procedure

Step 1 –  Start by kneeling on the floor. Sit on your heels with your big toes touching each other.

Step 2 –  Slowly separate your knees with a gap as wide as your hip.

Step 3 –  Exhale out

Step 4 – Lay your torso between your thighs.

Step 5 – You may place your hands on the floor in the front of you stretched out facing forward or touch your legs as in the picture shown

Step 6 – Stay in this pose for 30 seconds to 3 minutes.

Effect

Bālāsana is considered a restorative yoga pose that can relieve you of piles symptoms. This pose is known to increase blood circulation to the anus and alleviate constipation

Mālāsana (Garland Pose)

Procedure

Step 1 –  Squat in a manner that your feet are as close as possible

Step 2 –  Separate your thighs wider than your torso

Step 3 –  Exhale and lean your torso forward.

Step 4 – Press your elbows against your inner knees. Hold your palms in a Namaste.

Step 5 – Hold this pose for more than 30 seconds to 1 minute then stand up.

Effects

This pose helps in better bowel movements and relieving constipation (Constipation is considered a common cause of Piles)

Viparita Karani (Legs Up the Wall Pose)

Procedure

Step 1 –  Lie next to a wall, start with your side on the floor your knees should be bent and your buttocks as close to the wall as possible.

Step 2 – Exhale, then stretch out your leg your heels must touch the wall.

Step 3 – Now swing your legs and body in a manner your legs are perpendicular to the floor and your back is flat on the floor.

Step 4 – Keep your arms by your side and focus on your breathing.

Step 5 – Stay in this pose for as long as you wish.

Effects

This pose is known for its restorative effects. It relaxes your muscles and improves blood circulation. Which helps in smoother bowel movements

Sarvanga Asana (Candle Pose)

Procedure

Step 1 –  Lie on the floor flat

Step 2 – Bend your knees to your chest

Step 3 – Place your palm on your back

Step 4 – Exhale

Step 5 – Raise your leg a 90-degree angle

Step 6 – Roll your leg and spine up by curving your pelvis, maintain support for your back with bent elbows. Your leg should be in alignment with your spine.

Step 7 – Hold this pose for 10 seconds

Effects

This pose might take some practice for beginners to learn to maintain balance while the asana is performed. It is known to relieve stress and other symptoms of hemorrhoids.

Yoga and a healthy diet of fibrous food can alleviate many of the symptoms associated with piles. Regular and dedicated approach for at least 6 to 8 months is needed to achieve results.
