Top 10 Key Moments From Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover’s Controversy

The infamous flight incident, where Kapil Sharma allegedly abused Sunil Grover after a show in Australia, sparked the entire controversy and led to a public fallout.

Following the altercation, Grover officially quit the hit comedy show, marking a turning point that significantly impacted its popularity.

Kapil publicly apologized to Grover on social media, admitting to the fight and appealing for reconciliation, which intensified public attention.

Grover responded with a dignified yet firm message, advising Kapil to value people and not treat colleagues disrespectfully.

Other key cast members, including Ali Asgar and Chandan Prabhakar, also stepped away from the show, reflecting deeper tensions within the team.

The show’s ratings reportedly dipped after Grover’s departure, highlighting his importance to its success and the impact of the controversy.

Due to falling ratings and Kapil’s reported health issues, Sony temporarily pulled the show off-air, adding to the fallout narrative.

Grover successfully transitioned to new television and film ventures, proving his independent appeal beyond Kapil’s platform.

Kapil returned with a revamped version of the show in late 2018, signaling professional recovery despite the earlier controversy.

Over time, both comedians were seen interacting cordially at events and online, suggesting that the bitterness had eased, even if they didn’t reunite professionally immediately.
