Washing Your 5x5 Lace Wig
Regular washing is necessary to remove dirt, oil, and product buildup from your 5x5 lace wig. But we’ve made this so much easier for you – all you need to do is follow these step-by-step instructions to ensure a thorough yet gentle cleaning process: Detangle: Before washing, gently comb through the wig with a wide-toothed comb or specialized wig brush to remove any knots or tangles. Pre-Wash: Fill a basin with lukewarm water and add a small amount of wig shampoo. Immerse the wig in the water and swish it gently to distribute the shampoo. But make sure to avoid rubbing or twisting the wig, as this can cause tangling or shedding. Rinse: Rinse the wig under running water to remove the shampoo. Gently squeeze out the excess water but be careful not to wring or twist the wig. Condition: Apply the wig conditioner evenly to the wig, focusing on the mid-lengths and ends. And then, allow the conditioner to sit for a few minutes to hydrate the fibers. Final Rinse: Rinse the wig thoroughly under running water until all the conditioner is removed. Drying: Pat the wig gently with a towel to remove excess water. Avoid rubbing or wringing because it might damage the wig's delicate structure. Place the wig on a wig stand or mannequin head to air dry naturally. Avoid using heat-styling tools or blow dryers, though, as they can cause heat damage.
