The Big Fat Family:
Spanning over three generations, Modern Family represents the big joint American (Yes, American!) family that stays together despite their differences ( read: A younger than the daughter stepmother, a gay couple , a typical high school fashion obsessed wow-girl, a geek and an inventor as the youngest generation, not to mention Manny, Manny, Manny!). The Pritchett/Dunphy/Tucker clans take you through a hilarious journey full of silly sibling drama, conflict between parents and children, husband and wife, a journey that truly embodies what many consider to be today's "modern family". The weird family structure adds to the amusement. Jay Pritchett remarries a much younger, more beautiful woman from Colombia. Gloria, who has a son of her own (Manny), is around the same age as Jay's two children, Claire and Mitchell. Claire and the rest of the Dunphy clan are what people would consider to be the stereotypical upper-middle class suburban family. There's the husband (Phil), the wife (Claire), and the three children (Haley, Alex, and Luke). Mitchell, Jay's other son, is partners with Cameron Tucker. Together, the couple adopt a daughter from Vietnam. The Modern Family is true representation of how families can stay together despite all their differences, with just a dash of love!
