  It has total 934 engineering colleges. Tamil Nadu is well known for engineering course from many years. The Automobile and mechanical engineering are the most wanted branches in Tamil Nadu. In an interesting survey conducted long back it came to know that the colleges were actually higher than schools (Private) in early 2000's. This depicts the craze of engineering in the state.

  Tamil Nadu has more than 1.4 lakh cases. Their is a spike of increase in the cases in last year and many students are being prone to it. Their is very less awareness in people and some cases involves forced sex. The government and social NGO's have started some special campaigns to make people aware.

  A typical Tamil marriage is celebrated for three days. The Tamil marriages are more traditional when compared to any other marriages in the country. The Tamilians spend more on jewelry and clothing which would shine their weddings. The major budget allotment of the marriage goes to food as well. It is hard to see a marriage with sangeeth and Mehndi but they will dance to typical mass beats on the wedding day which is a treat to watch and share joy. It is estimated it would cost at least 10 lakhs for a tamil marriage.
