Strawberry-honey paste
Strawberries consist of salicylic acid- which is very effective to prevent pimples. It is also used in most of the commercial products available for fighting pimples. This acid works by stimulating the upper skin layer i.e. the epidermis to shed the cells at a faster rate. Hence the clogged pores of the skin open up neutralizing the bacteria present. Salicylic acid also boosts the development of new skin cells and closes the open pores thus preventing bacterial infection. For making strawberry-honey paste, take 3 strawberries, wash them and blend them with 1 tablespoon honey. Wash your face and apply this paste. Leave the same for 30minutes and rinse off upon the pack getting dry. Aloe-vera gel Aloe vera gel possesses a soothing power on the skin. Along with the same, it has also got some antibacterial properties and can reduce the swelling and redness caused by pimples. You can either apply the fresh aloe-vera gel on the face or can make a paste with tea-tree oil or garlic. Lemon juice Lemon juice being rich in vitamin C is very effective over pimples. The citric acid present in lemon helps in the removal of the dead skin cells and also act as an astringent thereby helps in contraction of the body tissue and drying out the pimples. Also lemon juice renders a natural glow to the skin. You can apply lemon juice alone or can prepare a mixture with other substances like rosewater. Papaya juice Papaya juice works wonder in removing the dead skin cells and excess amount of fat deposited over the skin surface. Raw papaya consists of papain which is a very powerful enzyme for cutting down inflammation and reducing pus formation. This is one strong reason which has led to the use of papaya in numerous facial products. Cut a fresh papaya and mash the flesh. Form a smooth paste and apply this directly on your face. Leave it to dry for 30 minutes and then wash it off using luke warm water. Dried hibiscus paste Apart from being used for making tea, you can also use dried hibiscus for getting rid of pimples. Take 1 tablespoon dried hibiscus powder and add it to 2 cups of boiling water. Strain the water and leave it for cooling down. Now add one tablespoon honey and apply this on your face using a cotton ball or towel. Leave the towel on the face for 10 minutes and you will get rid of pimples as well as feel fresh. Keep your hands and face clean and do not eat too much oily foods.
