Another game I really liked is Spades Royale. What I like about it is that not only can you play spades against other players, but you can also invite your friends to play with you as a team. I also like how you get to create your own avatar, and how you can level up your character the more you play the game. And, unlike my first pick, Spades Royale does have a tutorial mode, which is a big plus if you are new to spades. Another neat feature I liked is that you can react to plays by making noises to let other players know how you feel about your hand. The only drawback I found is that there is no option for turning off in-game sound effects made by other players. While the ‘making noise’ feature can be a lot of fun, it is probably not the most convenient if you are looking for a quiet game. However, a way to get around it is to lower your cell phone media volume if you don’t want any sound effects! Pros: Play solo or as a team, create an avatar, level-up character, tutorial mode, make noise feature. Cons: No option for turning off player-activated sound effects. Overall: Level-up your character as you play spades on your own or as a team, although there is no option for turning off in-game noises made by other players.
