Constipation is a common side-effect of Mitragyna Speciosa use, and can be painful. If this occurs frequently, it can be a sign of another medical condition. Mitragyna Speciosa addiction can also lead to a decrease in appetite and a substantial amount of weight loss. People with Mitragyna Speciosa addiction may even develop anorexia nervosa, a condition in which individuals severely restrict their calorie intake. While these effects may seem harmless, they can lead to serious health issues. In addition to promoting weight loss, Mitragyna Speciosa has many other side-effects. Long-term users may become addicted to it. Because it activates opioid signaling in the brain, it can produce a dependency like the effects of heroin and oxycodone.
