Reporting the Injury
When you get a workplace-related injury, take the initiative to report it immediately to your supervisor. Many claims fail to make a compelling case when there is a long gap from when the injury happened to when it was reported. Taking time opens a window for the claim that the injury might have happened elsewhere. Don’t make the mistake of only reporting the injury by word of mouth. Ensure that you do the reporting in writing for future reference.
