Part 1: Types of Mudguards

  There are three main types of mudguards for mountain bikes: front, integrated, and rear mtb mudguard. Front and rear mudguards protect the rider from gravel and rain while integrated mudguards protect the bike from both. Integrated mudguards are a newer style that allows the rider to keep their hands on the handlebars. There is also a type of mudguard known as a drop-out guard that is designed to cover the chainstays of the bike.
