How Does Fish Oil Help With Autism And ADHD?

According to studies, children with autism and ADHD have lower quantities of omega-3 fatty acids in their bodies than the general population.   Other research has found that mothers with low DHA levels are more likely to have kids with poor visual and neurological development.  With the discovery of a link between low levels of omega 3 fats and an increased risk of autism, omega 3 supplementation has been shown to enhance cognition, mood, and behavior in various brain-related illnesses.  Since the brain is made up of around 60% fat, it stands to reason that fats are necessary for brain function.   Numerous studies have shown that fish oil positively impacts brain function and development, which is a primary concern in children with autism and ADHD.   Supplementing with fish oil is an excellent strategy to increase omega-3 levels and repair deficits, especially in youngsters whose diets are deficient in these nutrients.  A dose of double the DRI is usually suggested for children with ASD and ADHD, while greater doses are frequently used.   The key to using fish oil for autism is a well-balanced strategy.   While fish oil supplements like Simple Spectrum Omega 3 DHA Supplement can help, it's also crucial to focus on a diet that includes rich, nutrient-dense foods as well as omega-3-rich foods.
