He made his film debut with the leading role of a student in 'Taare Zameen Par(2007)' for which he won the Filmfare Critics Award for the best actor. He also performed in the movie Bumm Bumm bole, Zokkomon, and Midnight's children. He didn't perform in many movies but for these movies, he still maintained his position.
