Dal Makhani
Dal Makhani is a traditional Punjabi dish which is famous throughout the whole country. This served in the main meal and consists of mainly black gram(urad) and red kidney beans(rajma). After dal makhani is prepared a lot of butter is poured upon it in order to increase its taste and satisfy its name i.e. dal makhani. This dish is included in every Punjabi thali. Due to its rich texture and lengthy preparation process, it is often cooked on special occasions. Dal Makhani tastes best in the company of butter naan.
