Clearing debris around the outdoor unit
Over time, leaves, branches, dirt, and other debris can accumulate, restricting the airflow and reducing the system's efficiency. This debris can also enter the system, causing physical damage. To prevent this, regularly inspect the area around the outdoor unit and remove any debris. Consider cutting back any overhanging branches or vegetation that could drop leaves into the unit. As a rule of thumb, at least 2 feet of clear space should be on all sides of the unit to ensure adequate airflow.
