AOKIGAHARA SUICIDE FOREST, JAPAN.

This 35 square kilometre dense forest that lies at the northwest base of Mount Fuji in Japan, is the second most popular place for suicides in the world. This forest has a historic association with demons in the Japanese mythology. In 2010 only, around 59 people committed suicide in this forest. The suicide rate has grown so high that the officials have even put out signs there displaying messages like, "Think about your family" or "Life is precious, don't end it".
