Add Living Space

Seeing the square footage listed on a home doesn't mean much until you see the house. Sometimes a lot of the area is not even livable. If the basement and attic are included but are not finished, this is not very attractive to buyers.  Try to make improvements that add more living space and max out the usable square footage. For instance, make a finished basement that people can use as a playroom or living room. They can even convert it into an in-law apartment without too much effort or expense if it's finished.  Also, making a bedroom in the attic is another way to add living space.
