O Womaniya-Gangs of Wasseypur (The Feminists)

This song from the critically acclaimed Hindi movie is surprisingly catchy. The song tells us that women are no less than men. One of the main female characters in this movie, Huma Qureshi, takes no nonsense from Nawazuddin Siddiqui. She dominates him and keeps him in his limits and controls the relationship before they get married. “Taare joh babuna tarti babuniya” which translates to ‘When the guy stares, the girl stares back’.
