Switzerland or the Swiss Confederation was found in the year 1291, and was accepted as an independent nation by its neighbours after the 1648 European peace treaty as it had received independence from the Roman empire. The Vienna Congress of 1815 that ended the wars of Napoleon defines the borders and neutrality of Switzerland. It has a centralised federal government which did not take part in any of the two wars. It became a member of the United Nations officially in 2002, and although it actively supports such international organisations, the country is poised to maintain neutrality. Situated at the east of France and north of Italy, this flourishing modern market economy is highly developed given to factors such as- highly developed service sector specialised financial services manufacturing industry that specializes in high-technology knowledge-based production economic and political stability transparent legal system exceptional infrastructure efficient capital markets low corporate tax rates With remarkable international competitiveness, this banking giant too suffered from global financial crises and recovered after introducing tax and interest reforms. Owing to huge external pressure over its banking secrecy laws and tax regulations, Switzerland has recently agreed to provide administrative assistance in the matters of tax evasion and renegotiated its double taxation agreements with numerous countries in accordance with OECD regulations. Switzerland is one of the most glimmering and glistening tourist destination of the world. Its beauty is breathtakingly awe-inspiring. This land of four languages is composed of rural beauty, urban architecture, alluring lakes and mountains, astonishing landscapes, vineyards, alpine traditions and other stunning outdoors which seems hallucinatory.
