Tech giant google launched its new video calling app “Duo” which may be a tough competitor to Skype and Facetime. This app will be available to Android and iOS users from today.
It was first announced by google at I/O conference 3 months back along with other chatting app “Allo” which will be released within a couple of days .The new feature “Knock Knock and simple interface is an added advantage to this application. This app maintains the call quality which automatically adjusts to the changing network conditions to engage you in the call and reduces the resolution as per the bandwidth available.
This app eliminates the complexity of video calling and network related issues, especially in India. It is designed to adapt to network connectivity conditions. We hope to make the experience of video calling more personal, inviting easy and smooth,” Google Group Product Manager Amit Fulay said in a statement.

New Feature “Knock knock” :
The actual difference between Duo and another video chatting services is the feature “Knock, Knock.” which gives a glance in advance of the person who is making the call, helping the user to decide whether to answer or not .

Google has simplified the process of making video calls, where the just phone number is required to call your friends on your contact list. This process gives the user a hassle-free experience of registering, which usually takes a long time. There are few simple steps to sign-up and right away make the call.
Fast and Reliable :
Duo can rapidly change between Wi-Fi and Cellular data without dropping the call. It can change the call quality as per network availability and adjust resolution according to the bandwidth available.
