Everyone is excited about the New Year. To those who are not, you should join the procession. In 2020 you survived a deadly virus that is all over the place even in the cold continent of Antarctica. So it’s worth celebrating. And then who knows 2021 might actually make up for this worst year? Let’s keep the positive energy flowing. For if nothing, there are few events you should look forward to in 2021. Here’s the list.
Covid-19 Vaccine:
Does this need an explanation? I think not. So keep your fingers crossed and hope that we have a successful vaccine to Corona.
Olympics:
The modern Olympics is being played since 1896. Since then it was cancelled only three times. First time during the First World War and two times during the Second World War. So you can imagine the severity of Covid-19 when Olympics got postponed. Better wear the mask till the vaccine is out. But 2021 might be the first time the Olympics games will be played in an odd year. Everything is possible is the #NewNormal. Sport fanatics are in for a real treat. Sports like sport climbing, surfing, skateboarding and karate will be played for the first time.
F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Revamp:
Friends fan can rejoice. Soon you will be watching a reunion of all the Friends characters in May 2021. Friends is an American Sitcom that aired 26 years back and has been in popular ever since. So, May will be full of Mondler (Monica and Chandler), Roschel (Ross and Rachel), Phike (Pheobe and Mike) and Foey (Joey and Food).
A Century!
The Duke of Edinburgh Prince Phillip is going to turn 100 next year while his wife Queen Elizabeth II is going to turn 95! The Duke was born on 10th June 1921. He belongs to Greek and Danish Royal families. His queen Elizabeth II is the child of Duke and Duchess of York. She was born on 21st April 1926.
Half Century!
Walt Disney’s brainchild, Disney World will turn 50. Cheers and thanks for making our childhood awesome. It was inaugurated on 1st October 1971 by the Walt Disney Company. It is at Bay Lake and Lake Buena Vista of Florida. The resort has four themed parks, two water parks, 9 non-themed and 27 themed hotels.
More sports all the year:
Missed cheering for your favourite IPL team in 2020? Don’t worry next year is all about cricket. India will host the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup! And IPL will also be conducted in the first half. In addition, UEFA Euro 2020 which got postponed in 2020 will also be held next year
Movies:
If nothing the couch potato in us will be happy at the list of brand new movies that will release in 2020. It includes Raya and the Last Dragon, Tom & Jerry, Minions: The Rise of Gru, Hotel Transylvania 4, Boss Baby: Family Business and much more.
