Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs was a hit instantly. Sanjay Gupta adapted this famous movie around a group of Indians migrating to America and settling there. Further, they plan to rob a bank. The movie and show the typical Bollywood style climax. The movie was highly impressed the audience and was a hit like the original.

Chachi 420- Mrs. Doubtfire

Kamal Hassan’s comedy drama brought tears of glee in eyes of many. However, this quirky movie was adapted from Robin Williams’ Mrs. Doubtfire. Many well versed actors like Amrish Puri, Paresh Rawal, Nasser and Om Puri added to the movie’s charm. The plot was well adapted to suit Indian audience.

Sarkar- The Godfather

Ram Gopal Varma’s beautiful adaption of Copolla’s story about a criminal family was a great hit. Indeed, the major credits go to the real life father and son, Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan. They also played the same relations in reel life on screen. A wonderful supporting star cast included actors like Kay Kay Menon and Zakir Hussain. Also, this movie was one of Abhishek Bachchan’s personal best.

Sangharsh- The Silence of the Lambs

Jonathan Demme’s crime thriller became Tanuja Chandra’s Sangarsh. The original movie is based on a book by Thomas Harris. The remake star cast included Preity Zinta, Ashutosh Rana and Akshay Kumar. Neither Preity nor Akshay are able to match the performance of Jodi Foster or Hopkins. However, it was Ashutosh Rana in the villain role making up for them. The film was hit for its unique story.

Baazigar- A Kiss Before Dying

The classic American served as the inspiration for Abbas Mustan’s Baazigar. The movie established new actors like Kajol and Shilpa Shetty in Bollywood. Further, Shahrukh Khan played against both the actresses. Indeed, the story was a unique and impressed people

Hum Tum- When Harry Met Sally

The original was written by Nora Ephron. The movie was a rom-com and Rani Mukherjee and Saif Ali Khan left their mark on the audience. Indeed, the characters and songs became the favourite of the viewers.

The movie is the biography of the famous American Author Helen Keller and her tutor Anne Sullivan. Sanjay Leela Bhansali remake touched viewers hearts. Further, it has the typical sensitivity that Bhansali is known for. Amitabh Bachchan played the role of the tutor in the movie. Also, Rani Mukherjee to deliver a brilliant performance playing an Alzheimer’s patient.

Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander- Breaking Away

The first thing that comes into mind is Pehla Nasha. The coming-of-age drama featured a young Aamir Khan and Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Mamik, Deepak Tijori in supporting roles. Also, the remake was well adapted with the cycle race to suit the Indian audience.
