Wooden Orchids, China

The Wooden Orchid is said to be built along the shore of Yangtze River located in Jianhxi of China. It will be a green shopping center, and the plan has been designed by the architecture Vincent Callebaut. It is estimated that the building will have a capacity of holding as much as 200 numbers of shops, and the entire complex will rely on various renewable sources of energy. Thus, the design is made in such way that it can be a combination of beauty along with being energy efficient. Some of the techniques used for energy here will be solar panels, wind turbines, and others.

Ark Hotel, Russia

This is going to be one of the most amazing hotels that have been designed to be safe against various threats such as earthquakes, floods, and tides. The concept of this future hotel has been designed by the Russian firm Remistudio along with the collaboration of the International Union of Architect and its program, ‘Architecture for Disaster Relief’. As per the designs, the hotel will stay afloat on the water surface.

The floatation part will be possible because of its structure that will be of the shape of an arched shell and hence the weight can be evenly distributed. There will also be  a number of features such as solar panels, rainwater harvesting, lush vegetation and many others for energy efficiency.

Project Utopia, England

This project will be an island in itself, the design of which has been developed by Yacht Island design and BMT Nigel Gee. The island will be standing on four very strong platforms that will be resistant to sea movements, and the whole island will cover a diameter of about 330 feet. It will be having a private dock, observation area of 360-degree, various swimming pools, four helipads, and 11 decks.

Floating Libertarian Countries

A California-based Institute plans to develop an island that will be floating and will be not governed by any country. Many people such as PayPal CEO Peter Thiel have invested in this project, and the project has been named as ‘Oasis of the Sea’. It has been designed by the architect Emerson Stepp, the best picture award winner in the year 2009.

There are many other names that have been coming up on the island such as the ‘The Swimming City’, or the ‘Rendering Freedom’, but the actual name may be decided when the constructed gets started.

Earth Scraper, Mexico

The architects of Mexico have come up with an amazing design of an earth scraper that is of the shape of a 65 stored pyramid, and that will be about 984 feet from the ground. In the main square of the city, there will be a massive glass floor of about 787×787 feet so that natural light can come in during the daytime.

Physalia Physalis is a dangerous jellyfish, whose unique shape became the inspiration for the architect Vincent Callebaut to plan the design of the giant floating garden in Europe. The main concept of this garden will be to clean the rivers that will be entering the European waterways. This will be possible by the vessel that is aluminum covered and has a hydraulic network to cleanse the polluted water of the rivers.

This particular resort will not be exactly a science-fiction architectural piece but rather an art of ecosystem. This amazing floating resort has been also designed by the architect Vincent Callebaut and will be constructed in Monaco. The future resort of Monaco is named as Lilypads after its structure that is of water-lily shape. The resort will be extracting energy from various natural resources that are renewable and will be able to provide space to about 5000 people. The resort with having a lively interior atmosphere and the pads will treat the carbon dioxide of the atmosphere by absorbing it in the exterior of titanium dioxide.
