Technology today has advanced so much that it is ready to give a new definition to everything. It has touched every field, and one such field that has been transformed with the touch of technology is architecture. Today you will be able to see some of the great examples of architecture. The big news is that in near future you will be able to see such architectural examples that are a combination of science fiction and architectural art.

Such designs are all set to set a new generation of buildings and here is a list of some such buildings that you can call a wonder of science fiction architecture.

Wooden Orchids, China

The Wooden Orchid is said to be built along the shore of Yangtze River located in Jianhxi of China. It will be a green shopping center, and the plan has been designed by the architecture Vincent Callebaut. It is estimated that the building will have a capacity of holding as much as 200 numbers of shops, and the entire complex will rely on various renewable sources of energy. Thus, the design is made in such way that it can be a combination of beauty along with being energy efficient. Some of the techniques used for energy here will be solar panels, wind turbines, and others.

Ark Hotel, Russia

This is going to be one of the most amazing hotels that have been designed to be safe against various threats such as earthquakes, floods, and tides. The concept of this future hotel has been designed by the Russian firm Remistudio along with the collaboration of the International Union of Architect and its program, ‘Architecture for Disaster Relief’. As per the designs, the hotel will stay afloat on the water surface.

The floatation part will be possible because of its structure that will be of the shape of an arched shell and hence the weight can be evenly distributed. There will also be  a number of features such as solar panels, rainwater harvesting, lush vegetation and many others for energy efficiency.

Project Utopia, England

This project will be an island in itself, the design of which has been developed by Yacht Island design and BMT Nigel Gee. The island will be standing on four very strong platforms that will be resistant to sea movements, and the whole island will cover a diameter of about 330 feet. It will be having a private dock, observation area of 360-degree, various swimming pools, four helipads, and 11 decks.

Floating Libertarian Countries

A California-based Institute plans to develop an island that will be floating and will be not governed by any country. There are many other names that have been coming up on the island such as the ‘The Swimming City’, or the ‘Rendering Freedom’, but the actual name may be decided when the constructed gets started.

Earth Scraper, Mexico

The architects of Mexico have come up with an amazing design of an earth scraper that is of the shape of a 65 stored pyramid, and that will be about 984 feet from the ground. In the main square of the city, there will be a massive glass floor of about 787×787 feet so that natural light can come in during the daytime.

The scraper will have 30 floors of houses, shops and also a museum while 35 floors will be for various offices. It has been discovered that presently no plots have been left out in the city for any house or office; the condition will deteriorate in future. Hence, this can be a great alternative.

Zira Island, Seven Peaks of Azerbaijan

Yet another island is to be created in the Caspian Sea, from the shores of Azerbaijan in the name of Zira Island. The island design has been planned by the ‘Big Architect’ of Denmark. The vision of the island is to make a place that can have lifestyle run by renewable energy sources such as water, the wind, and the sun. It will be a carbon-neutral island, and its seven peaks will be utilized for various used such as houses, offices, shopping complexes, and many others.
