The spectacular cast, flawless direction, eye-catching special effects, dramatic story line, grand dialogues, etc. make the movie downright hilarious and a must watch for every Indian!
Here are a few things about Bahubali – The Beginning that we loved and will tempt everyone to watch it.

1. THE COSTLIEST MOVIE EVER MADE.

Bahubali becomes the costliest movie ever made in India with a budget of more than 250 crore, followed by Rajnikanth’s Robot (132 crore) and Shah Rukh Khan’s Ra.One (125 crore, don’t know where the money went). Most of the money was spent on the special effects and digital imagery so that a perfect look of the 8th century action-drama could be portrayed. And boy, did they do a spectacular job!

2. PRABHAS.

The actor who delivered the best by playing dual role as Shiva and Bahubali, ate eight meals in a day and underwent strenuous training to build the physique required for his characters. His stunning personality and warrior avatar would blow your mind, making him perfect for the role. He shows his monstrous strength by carrying a huge Shiva lingam and pull up a 450 ft golden statue later in the movie.

3. THE EYE-CATCHING CAST.

The movie has a strong casting with Tamannah Bhatia as Avanthika, Anushka Shetty as Rani Devasena, Ramya Krishnan as Sivagami, Rana Daggubati as Bhallal Dev, Sathyaraj as Katappa, etc.

Tamannah plays a role of a warrior angel, whose alluring beauty tempts Shiva to climb the sky-high waterfall and later to free Devasena, who has been enslaved by Bhallal Dev for 25 years.

4. THE FEMALE DOMINANCE.

Ramya Krishnan plays a strong and commanding character Sivagami, who is the mother of Bhallal Deva. She takes over the reigns in her own hands when Mahishmati Kingdom is without a king and raises Bahubali and Bhallala as two tenacious and fearless warriors, who are ready to do anything for their motherland. Her sheer dominance coupled with the love of a mother makes her a striking character.

5. THE WAR.

The absolutely realistic portrayal of a medieval aged war takes the thrill of the movie to a whole new level. The flawless execution of foolproof war strategies that help the Mahishmati soldiers stand against an enormous army of the intruders, nearly four times as large, is downright spectacular.

7.  THE MUSIC.

The music of Bahubali is given by M.M. Keeravaani and he has done an impeccable job at it!
The theme that plays whenever something happens about Bahubali is much energetic and fills you with enthusiasm. Also, the music that plays with Devasena’s entry adds to the feel of the character.

  1. Nice post! Have already watched the movie. But each reason here seemed absolutely true.
It was as if I experienced the whole movie once more!

Thanks @Piyush for an awesome article!

  2. Nice stuff Piyush.
I appreciate that Indian movie industry is trying new tech for movies. I also appreciate that we want to compete with the best in the VFX dept. Having said that, in my opinion Bahubali is overhyped. First half progresses very slowly. And effects of the first half are okayish. Only the battle part is good.
I appreciate the efforts and even I want to encourage such movies but not just because they cost much.
And I cannot digest the fact that you can ‘defend a sword with a knife’, at least the way it was shown in the movie.

    • Thanks Piyush. I agree some parts were ‘too much to digest’. But nonetheless, I found this movie to be extremely entertaining and would still recommend everyone to watch it.
