Usually, I’m all for the evolving fashion trends, but sometimes they go too far. Every year there are some confusing fashion trends that no one really understands. 2017 is no different.
Here are some trends that will make you go “What?!” and probably in a bad way.
NOTE: This article is just a list of trends that I as a person find really odd. I don’t mean in any way to monitor what you wear. If you find any of this cool and want to wear it, go ahead; you do you.
Ikea Clothes
Sir, I’m sorry but you look like you were too lazy to buy clothes and used duct tape around because you are lazy. I’ll admit that there’s something to the blue and yellow combination but overall it just looks extremely plastic bag. There have to be better ways to say that you love Sweden and Good furniture.
Transparent Jeans
Yes, this is a thing in 2017. I have so many questions about it; I don’t even know. Number 1, why would you buy pants that compel you to wear more pants inside them? WHY?! Also, does it not feel like wearing a really expensive raincoat? What is the point of wearing clothes that don’t do their function of covering up your body?
The Apocalypse Clothes
Now, don’t get me wrong, I love ripped jeans. The ripped clothing has been in since the 90s, but this is a step too far. I get the raggedy look; I think it looks really cool but there is a difference between that and walking like you were attacked by a bear. Don’t be so ripped that you look like u just escaped a swarm of Zombies.
Mud Jeans
I see what you started with “faded” Jeans and ripped jeans, I wouldn’t say anything even if you put some paint splatter, but this is not working. The “Americana Worker” thing that’s been tried, no bro. Buying an overpriced piece of clothing that looks dirty by design is sad and honestly a little confusing. I would say it’s bold, but it’s also unnecessary.
Glitter Booty
This is so confusing. Now, I am all for celebrating this part of human anatomy, but sorry, this doesn’t work for me. It just looks really uncomfortable and swampy. It looks like having sand on you but on purpose. Imagine if you met someone at a music festival and you’re wearing this and you met someone; doesn’t this seem a problem?
Top Knots
Now, I got nothing against the man bun. Man Buns look really cool and most people pull them off. What I do have a problem with is the Top Knot. Top Knots look like you don’t have enough volume for a man bun. It just looks like a wannabe man bun. So… sorry guys, the top knots are not working for me.
