If you have ever been to Jaipur then you would know why it is such a big tourist place. Anybody who visits Jaipur falls in love with it. The Pink City has a lot to offer. Its colors, culture, heritage, architecture, food, and people would make you want to visit this city over and over again.
Every city has something that makes it unique. Jaipur has a whole collection of such things. If you have a travel list then you should add Jaipur to it. A trip to India is not complete without visiting Jaipur.
There is so much more to this city than you can think of. One visit is enough to enthrall you.
Its beauty would enchant you and you will leave a part of your heart in the heart of the Pink City.
Here are 5 reasons that would prove my point:
1. The heritage

The beauty of these forts is impeccable. The majestic grandeur of these forts would leave you breathless. For History enthusiasts, these are the places to be.
Also, the light and sound show at Amer fort is worth dying for.
The sunrise or sunset at Nahargarh Fort would make you feel alive.
The biggest canon in the world is at Jaigarh Fort.
For Jaipurites, these forts never get too boring. Every time the sun starts playing hide and seek, these footfalls in these forts increases by a great amount. For us, Jaipur Darshan is incomplete without a stroll through the passages of these forts.
Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds is a masterpiece. It is one of the most appreciated architectures of all time. If it doesn’t please your eyes the nothing will.
Jal Mahal has its own aura. A visit to Jal Mahal at dusk or dawn would lift up your spirits.
Albert Hall and the City Palace Museums are breathtaking!
2. The food

If you want to feel closer to the roots then do NOT miss a visit to this place. It is the perfect blend of hospitality, heritage, culture, tradition and mouth-watering delicacies.
“Padhaaro Mhaare Des” is not just an expression here. It becomes true in every respect.
Lassi may not be a Rajasthani beverage but the Lassiwala at M.I. Road serves the best Lassi in the world.
You have never tried true Indian food if you haven’t tries Rawat ki Kachori.
Your taste buds will jump with joy after trying all that Jaipur has to offer you.
3. The Shopping – spree
If you love shopping then Jaipur is the place for you. The streets of Bapu Bazaar and Johari Bazaar would make your heart dance with ecstasy. If you are an expert at bargaining then shopping in this city of colors would be a real treat for you.
From art to jewelery, nothing can parallel the variety you would find here. If you love fusion of traditional with western then you, my friend, are in for a surprise.
You would exhaust your body but not your heart. Your heart would want just “a little more” of this royal shopping experience.
4. The Lakes

There are so many lakes in and around Jaipur that not many know of.
Ramgarh Lake, Man Sagar, Chandlai Lake, Galtaji and many more add to the uniqueness of this city.
So if you’re thinking of visiting Jaipur then do not miss out on these lakes.
5. The People
You will never find anybody with more welcoming hearts than the people of Jaipur. Every true Jaipurite know the true value of hospitality. The type of treatment you will get here would make you smile a little bigger.
Jaipurites still believe in the joint-family tradition. We are still a lot more closer to our roots than most of the people living in cities. We still treat guests with utmost care and respect. You will never find a gloomy day in Jaipur. Every where you will find people smiling.
Festival time is the best time to visit Jaipur.
If these reasons aren’t enough for you then you will find your own when you visit. One thing you can be sure of is that you will definitely fall in love with the Pink City.
