Home remedies for yellow teeth
Baking Soda or sodium bicarbonate is the common thing in the kitchen household. The commercial toothpaste has baking soda in them which reduces the yellowness of the teeth. The compound is alkaline in nature. Prepare a paste of baking soda in lemon juice. Use the paste to rinse your gums and teeth properly with a finger or a toothbrush. Leave the paste for a minute and wash it properly.
The best oil to go with is Coconut oil as the other oils are not good to taste. The oil prepared from the coconut has lauric acid which aids to fight the bacteria causing bad breath and plaque. A tablespoon of the oil can be used to rinse the teeth and gums every day before brushing your teeth. Normal massage with the fingers in and around the teeth and the gums will do the trick.
Apple Cider Vinegar
Coffee and nicotine consumption causes staining and yellowing of the healthy teeth. This type of vinegar can easily remove the dark stains in your teeth and act as a natural whitener. The cleaning effect resembles that of the professional cleaning results.
Apple cider vinegar contains acetic acid, probiotics, enzymes, potassium, magnesium, and other necessary ingredients that aid in cleaning the teeth and killing the harmful bacteria in the oral cavity.
Hydrogen Peroxide and Baking Soda
Hydrogen peroxide is known for its oxidizing property. As per the specialists, the volume of hydrogen peroxide must match with that of water. You can also add sodium bicarbonate to make a paste. The mild oxidizing property of the paste will clean the teeth and return back the natural white color after few weeks of application.
Use a banana or an orange peel and rub the teeth with the inner surface of the peels. The peels are good source of magnesium, potassium, and manganese that enrich the enamel. After application of the peel, brush your teeth. The peels should not be used more than two times a week as the acidic property of the peels might harm the integrity of the teeth.
Crunchy raw vegetables and fruits can also clean your teeth and whiten them properly. Go for carrots, guava, pears, apples, etc daily. The fruits and vegetables will impart an abrasive action on the teeth and whiten them eventually.
Fresh basil leaves when crushed with orange peels to form a paste that can clear the yellowness of your teeth on regular application. Apply it with your finger and wash after 15 minutes with normal water.
The green yet strong Neem twigs can be used to rub on the teeth gently. Brush your teeth with the chewed and softer side of the neem twigs to get a set of white teeth within a week.
This twig also works the same way neem does. The extract of the tree will erase the yellowness within few weeks.
Vitamin C fruits
Eat a lot of fruits that contain Vitamin C and organic acids. The vitamin has a bleaching effect and will aid win whitening the yellow teeth. The fruits that can be considered in this case are strawberry, lemon, orange, amla, tomato, etc.
It might be popular practice in the western world but the eastern countries do not take it that seriously. Flossing stops formation of plaque and yellowing of teeth. Even if the teeth are yellow or stained, the regular practice of flossing will clean them properly in due time.
Do not consume caffeine or smoke too much while trying to whiten your teeth with the above-mentioned processes. It will delay the whitening process. Eat healthy and brush every time after you have a meal.
