10 Bad Bollywood Movies That Were Successful

1

Bollywood is a place where sometimes even mediocre can movies become instant hits. Bollywood box office collections can never tell you whether a movie is good or not. Their various examples of some mediocre or bad bollywood movies those have somehow, mostly thanks to start power, gotten enormous box office numbers in the past. So let us tabulate a list and check out the 10 of the luckiest films of this generation that have made money despite them lacking a script or direction quality.

#10: Ra.One

Many people were looking forward to Shahrukh Khan’s experiment in the year 2011. The scene was set, and every single fan of the megastar was actually looking forward to the action in store and Akon’s Chammak Challo. But the movie was a huge dud! It lacked planning and most importantly a script. The acting was okay, but it could have been better. All in all, the movie did not deserve to be a chartbuster, even thought it was one of the biggest hits of the year.

#9: Bodyguard

The bodyguard was released in the year 2011. And, just like Ra.One, it was deemed as one of the most anticipated movies of the year. The movie had the exciting pairing of Salman Khan and Kareena in store. However, just like Ra.One, the movie was huge disappointment for the actual and regular movie goers. Even though it did quite well at the box office (and proved to be one of the biggest hits of the year), the movie lacked composure.

#8: Dhoom 3

It was always going to be fascinating when a superstar like Aamir Khan was about to join a very renowned movie franchise. Hence, when D3 was announced, people were damn excited about it; especially the ardent moviegoers. The movie did quite well at the box office and was recorded as one of highest grossing Indian Movies ever. In fact, it was on top of that list for a year or 2. However, the magic only stayed till the collection numbers as the movie was huge disappointment. Even 2 Aamir Khans could not save the movie and its story.

#7: Krish 3

As soon as Krrish 3 was announced, it was always going to be touch and go for the whole franchise. Koi Mil Gaya was good on its own while Krrish 1 (the original movie) was also so-so. But, everyone had high expectations from Krrish and Dad Roshan and also Hrithik to this time come up with a masterpiece. Many people went to the movie on the 1st day itself, but all of them were left disappointed. The movie did well thanks to Hrithik however it did not deserve so many accolades at the box office revenues.

#6: Race and Race 2

If you thought Race 1 was enough for you, then Race 2 came out in the year 2013. Both the movies did quite well at the box office, but even mighty Saif Ali Khan (the choose Nawab of Bollywood himself) could not change the artistic fortunes of the movies. They lacked everything to say the least; however they did collect the money at the ticket counter. Indian audience should ask themselves how they managed to do this.

#5: Dabang 2

People had expected a lot from Dabangg 2 after watching Dabangg. While the latter had set a trend, the former could not even attract the sympathy of the audience. Even though the Salman hype worked as the producers of the movie roped in their coppers thanks to the image and the presence of Bhai in the movie. But we were left with an unquenchable thirst, again.

#4: Welcome

Yes the movie was quite funny, yes Akshay Kumar was there, and yes Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor did an excellent job. On top of that, the movie roped in tons of money from the box office. However, it just lacked the story and the script. Just look at the climax of the movie to refresh your mind on how bad the movie was!

#3: Happy New Year

The Shahrukh and Deepika combo, along with Abhishek Bachchan, just did not work out this time around for Farah Khan. The movie did quite well at the box offices however it did not steal the hearts that it should have. Only if the script and the story were a bit better, then we could have been singing the wide praises of the movie. Alas, the producers did get loads of money from the venture!

#2: Kick

It’s not every day when we pan movies where people like Salman, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Randeep Hooda have harnessed their skills in. However, we have to make an exception for Kick. The kick was one of the most anticipated movies of this decade and apart from its huge box office numbers, it did not fare up well. People just left the theaters (after coughing up hefty ticket prices first) in a flabbergasted demeanor thanks to the lack of scripting talents the movie had possessed. However, one can also argue that the story was just a bonus point (actually a negative point) as everyone was there just there to see the combo between Salman and Nawazuddin. Boy, did they shine!

#1: Bang Bang

It’s never easy to copy Tom Cruise, and even Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan found it quite a tedious job to do so. However, everything went well, and Roshan did an excellent job in becoming an action hero in his own style. This was the main reason (and also the presence of Katrina Kaif) why Bang Bang did well at the coffers called the box office. The film also had breathtaking action sequences, paying homage to the original movie.

However, the story, script and the screenplay of the movie was always here, there and everywhere! Of course the original movie itself also did not get laurels; so it was always going to be difficult for the remake to get the accolades.
