There are 3 categories for players according to BCCI namely Grade A, B and C.

Gradations are done based on Experience and recent performances and salaries are paid monthly basis.

For the session 2014-15 :

GRADE A :

MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina, R Ashwin, Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Test match fees per each player is Rs 500,000

Basic Pay for each player is Rs 1 crore ( $ 190,000)

ODI fees for each players is Rs 300,000

 

GRADE B :

Mohammed Shami, Murali Vijay, Ravindra Jadeja, Ishant Sharma, Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Umesh Yadav, Ajinkya Rahane, Pragyan Ojha, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ambati Rayudu

Test match fees per each player is  Rs 300, 000

Basic Pay for each player is Rs 50 Lakh ( $ 95, 000)

ODI fees for each players is Rs 175,000

 

GRADE C:

Mohit Sharma, Robin Uthappa, Amit Mishra, Varun Aaron, Wriddhiman Saha, Stuart Binny, Sanju Samson, Punkaj Singh, Vinay Kumar,  Dhawal Kulkarni, Axar Patel, Manoj Tiwari, , Karn Sharma, Kuldeep Yadav, KL Rahu, Pervez Rasool

Test match fees per each player is Rs 150,000

Basic Pay for each player is Rs 25 Lakh ( $48,000)

ODI fees for each players is Rs 100,000

 

Apart from these there are some special benefits for Players/Team who performance is outstanding.

Winning a test match against a team in ICC Top 3 ranking – 50% more in match fees

Winning ICC World Cup (ODI or T20) – 300% more in match fees

Winning a test series against ICC top 3 team – 100% more in match fees

Taking 10 wicket haul in test matches – Rs 700,000

Taking 5 wicket haul in ODI or Test Innings – Rs 500,000

Double century in Test or ODI – Rs 700,000

Scoring a Test or ODI hundred – Rs 500,000
